Moody Mandy

{Workout}

Tuesday, Treadmill: 6 miles = 56:40 minutes
15 minutes weights!

Hi, bloggy world.
It's Negative Nancy, Moody Mandy & Pessimist Polly here today.

Guys, I've been rocking with a BAD mood all day. :( I think it's job stress really taking over right now.

How do you shake yourself out of a bad mood??

It's just one of those daaaays. I need to sit, shush, listen to some calming music or go workout - although today, that seems like that last thing I want to do.
_____________________________________________

Instead of this being full of my whining, yesterday was a GOOD day! Back at my parents place and I got to chill out :)

I did 6 miles on the treadmill, while watching Sugar Dome on the Food Network. First time I've seen that show - I love. They were making some amazing Dr.Suess creations.

During it, I was dreaming of food in general and got a massive craving for a subway sub.

What's your fave sub??
I used to be tuna through and through...but maaan, the egg salad sub has me hooked!

American Idol is back tonight!! Anyone watching? I love easy-watching and no-thinking type of tv! I'm glad it's back! Mariah Carey is one of my all time faves!

HAPPY WEDNESDAY guys - time to shake off this crappy mood!!

  1. Last night i was having a night like that and I just don't know why. Sometimes it just happens. Here is what I did: hugged someone I love, did some exercise and stretching, watched an episode of a tv show that always makes me laugh, made a list of everything I'm grateful for. i hope you feel better soon!

    1. I wrote out a list of things I'm grateful for! ahh, thank you :)

  2. Sometimes I just try to force myself to smile/laugh -- I hear that releases some good hormones. Since you think it might be from work-related stress, maybe you can do something to relax you a little, like a walk with a friend or read a book for fun.

    1. I needed this reminder - I used to do that a lot too (forcing smile/laugh, it DOES help!) Thanks!!

  3. I know those moods and they are definitely, usually stress related lol.

  4. Usually if I'm in a bad mood it's because I'm tired. When I was a kid, my mom taught me to use the acronym HALT when I was sad. Are you Hungry, Angry, Lonely or Tired? We always made fun of it, but I still use it sometimes.:)

    1. That is a VERY good one - I think I was hungry and very tired!

  5. Lady! I cant even believe you ditched the tuna for egg salad. I have been a tuna sub girl since who knows [Italian at Quiznos]!

Hopefully your day gets better. I think work related down days are the absolute worst kind. Usually when I am in a bad mood I listen to angry music and drive, but since you aren't much of a driver I'd say coffee and hitting up the eaton center for some retail therapy. (:

  6. When I'm in a bad mood, I try to imagine that I'm breathing in happiness and farting out rainbows. You'd be surprised at how well this works!

  7. I hope you are able to snap your funky mood! That was (is) me today, and I even had a convo with my husband this morning about how silly it is to hold grudges and let them consume your life. So I tried to let all those silly things throughout the day go. Tried ;)

  8. That picture of you with the subway sandwich made me laugh. I love a girl a with an appetite! Can you hear it? ...five ...five dollar ...five dollar foot loooong!

Seriously, though: cheer up, buttercup! Curl up with your favorite book!

  9. Aw- cheer up! A good sweat session always helps me, even if it's the last thing you want to do! That, or hot chocolate, a book, and snuggles with my pup.
I can honestly say I've never watched a minute of American Idol or any of those singing/talent shows. But I would like to watch the one where Britney judges!
    Cheer up!

  12. I think that Subway sub alone would have cheered me up! haha I'm obsessed with Subway...love the Italian BMT. I usually get that as a post race dinner.

I hope the rest of your day was better! I felt the same way yesterday because of work stress, too. Hopefully having a good show to watch tonight will cheer you up!

  13. Running ALWAYS gets me out of my bad mood, without fail.

  14. Watching Idol right now; I gotta see how I feel about the new judges. I dislike Nikki Minaj, so she has work to do.

  15. I hate those days when everything is just waaaaaah. Hope you find some sunshine soon! A long nap and a good laugh always helps!!
I have never bought tuna or egg salad at subway! Weird! I usually get the black forest ham & turkey, or teriyaki chicken. Delish.

  21. You really like subway sandwiches don't you. I had the best sub last Friday it was from some place in Hamilton called submarines. They actually cook their turkey every morning (they have other options but my lab mates ate everything else!) If you're ever down in Hamilton- check it out.

  22. when i am stressed i head to the gym! it always makes me feel better or I have a nice cold glass of wine. as for subs, i used to LOVE them but a year ago a discovered i have a gluten intolerance so i can't eat them anymore boooo!

  23. I think the absolute BEST way to get out of a crappy mood is def by working out. So, you did the best thing u could possibly do! Also, dont you love how we crave healthy food post working out (thats if we can agree that subway is healthy! haha) We dont have the egg salad option in the east coast yet (at least I havent seen it) sounds delicious! Hope u feel better :)

    1. I'm thinking the egg salad might be a Canadian thing?! :O It is SO good!
And yep, my diet is the best when I'm consistently working out - otherwise, it's a sugary free-for-all! ha!

  24. Shaking off a bad mood is tough. Especially when you have that lingering throbbing bad mood that just sticks around all day. Glad you ran anyway! Good for you!

  25. Getting out of a bad mood is hard! Usually a workout or fake it till it's real works!

  26. I sleep through a bad mood. I usually wake up feeling better. Egg Salad? I don't know if our Subway has that sandwich but it sounds awesome!!

  27. I always find going for a nice quiet run or starting a good book is the best way to get rid of a bad mood. They are inevitable though, you just have to roll with them sometimes. I am with the commenter above, I don't think our Subway has egg salad either. I always go for turkey or italian. I am a meat gal!

  28. I loooove the tuna sub! Any mention of Subway and I am instantly craving it...so thanks :) haha. I hope you aren't in a bad mood for much longer, that is no fun!

  29. Ok it might sound shallow, but shopping always helps my moods! :) I hope you feel better! Sounds like you had a good run. I love subway, I've never tried their egg subs. Sounds awesome!!

when i am in a bad mood, i vent to my mom!! helps to let out the negativity and she puts things in perspective for me.

Cannot believe the stupid drama on Idol, but yes, secretly love it:)

  34. Ahhh Subway is basically the number one thing I miss since developing my gluten allergy. I used to be obsessed with their turkey and honey mustard! So delicious, and healthy too!

  35. Sometimes I find for me that these bad moods just come out of nowhere, but I hope you cheer up soon! Maybe just chill and do nice relaxing things, don't force yourself to do anything if you don't want to =)

  36. Wow congrats on being able to run that far on a treadmill. I did 5 miles yesterday and I just get SO bored. And, I love subway too. I get it for lunch at least once a week.

  37. I still have not run/walked. I suck:(
I love the tuna sub yummy!
I have been somewhat like your Mandy-Polly-Nancy!
At least you are sweating it out,, all I do is sulk .blah

  38. I didn't like the panel of judges last season on Idol. I'm glad Mariah is there, been hoping to see her join for a long time. She is at least qualified to judge other people's singing, being the master she is. As for the Minaj drama, it's a bit entertaining but I'm hoping it doesn't dominate the whole show.

When I'm in a crappy mood, I just try to keep telling myself "It will pass".

But I might try the "breathing happiness & farting rainbows" technique! lol

  39. To be honest with you, when I'm in a bad mood, nothing can really change it. The beast thing for me to do is be alone and only time makes it better. My poor husband knows this and gives me some space! lol

I wish our Subways had egg salad-sounds delicious! I always get the same thing at Subway, ham on wheat, American cheese, toasted, with spinach, lettuce, red onion and sometimes some jalepenos. I either get a little light mayo and a little spicy mustard or a little Chipotle southwest sauce. It's very important for me to say A LITTLE, because if not I feel like they dump it on the sandwich like they're trying to put out a fire. Hope your mood gets better ma'am!

    1. yes, they REALLY do pile on the sauce. I'm so particular about the type of sauce so I definitely say a liiiiiiiiittle bit too!

I'm totally understanding of nothing being able to change the bad mood. Yep. It was just a BAD day yesterday. I mentioned above that I really need to talk it out, but I find that very hard to do! :(

  40. best* lol..even though when I'm annoyed I probably am a beast.

  41. We all have those days :( The best way to fix it for me is a run! Even though sometimes that's the last thing you want to do haha.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Subway.....such a tease. I am all about the herb bread with turkey and swiss and tons of veggies. The meatball sub is also so good, but I rarely ever ordered a full one on my own.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I love subway!! We are getting one close to me so I'm super excited about it!! I love the tuna! When I'm in a bad mood it don't last long because my little girl comes up and rubs my cheek gives me a kiss and tells me she loves me!! Melts everything away!! But before her i normally would take it out at the gym and do a little retail therapy always helped!!

  44. Thanks for stopping by my blog!

Totally off subject, but I'd love to visit and run in Canada someday - definitely a bucket list thing ;) .

    Hope you feel better tomorrow!

  48. Working out is a great way to relieve any stress! And I love eating the subway club - turkey, ham, and roast beef. It's always the same. I have to try their egg salad now that you've mentioned how yummy it is! ;)

  50. When I'm having a bad mood, I just let it out and then just try to make my day go by better by being positive, do something that makes me happy and then go on with the day. I hope your day went better though.

For subway, I either pick Tuna or Italian B.M.T.
