Lots of rest , fluids & medicine so I can get back on my feet soon.
I am SO excited for 2013. I love new beginnings and I cannot wait to start marathon training and see how far I can go!
December was AWFUL for me exercise/running wise. No sugar-coating it. I stunk it up.

RANDOM FACTS BECAUSE I HAVEN'T DONE ANY RUNNING WORTH TALKING ABOUT!
(How's that for a great title??)
- I used to play the violin veeeery well when I was about 10. I whipped out that baby and played in the middle of airports at stupid o'clock in the morning. I can't imagine how irritating that musta been for travellers.
Do you play any instruments?? I've since lost all ability to play.
- Apart from when I was 5/6 years old - I have *never* been to a wedding!!! A couple of my best friends are married, but they got married in a different country and none of our friends were able to make it.
- Are you a beach lover??
Not counting when I was a baby, I've been to the beach ONE TIME.
That was summer 2011. I'm just not a big fan!

| ...And not a single thing matched. |
- Have you ever been on tv?? Ever hear of Jeremy Kyle?? (He's huuuge in the UK, and just started his talk-show out in the States last year).
I went to a free live-tapping of his show in NYC last year. It was about a drug-addicted and absent father.

| My 15 seconds of fame. |
- One of the best things to come out of my university experience - my best friend:
- My favouite book is "tuesdays with Morrie" by Mitch Albom. It really changed my outlook on life. Very inspirational.
- I have never raised my voice/yelled or really got in an "argument" with a boyfriend or friend. Disagreements/discussions, yes..but not an argument. A lot of people will say that's highly unhealthy. I'm not sure what the answer is but I find arguing and yelling very very hard to handle.
- I've never watched or read anything Twilight or Harry Potter. *Ducks*
- I'm 5'0 and have size 5 (UK size 3) feet - it is hard to find shoes sometimes!
Throw me some facts about you!!

oh no, i hope u feel better soon!! i hate being sick! i'm jealous u played strings!! i always wanted to play violin but they didn't offer that at my school so i played the flute...and yes, i went to three years of band camp. :P
ReplyDeleteI played the flute in school too!! :D
DeleteThe violin was something I learned off my uncle since he's a violin teacher. I think I enjoyed the flute more!
You were on tv!! Definitely famous. I do love the beach, but not so much for laying out. Walking, playing with the dog, and swimming are my beach activities! Feel better soon girl! January will ne a great new fresh start!
ReplyDeleteoh no! not the icky cold :( feel better soon! some random facts: i grew up going to the beach and have always LOVED it, but lately i crave the mountains. favorite book is The Daily Coyote by Shreve Stockton, totally gave me new perspective on a subject i was very judgemental about, and just love Shreve's story of her journey. i'm amazed that you've never argued with a friend or boyfriend! my highschool/college days were pretty dramatic i guess ;) but GREAT relationships survived and thrived!
ReplyDeleteyou are going to do GREAT with marathon training!!! soooo excited for you!
One of the things I'd like to do in the new year is try out hiking..I see all these pictures of beautiful scenery and I just want to try it!
DeleteI love new book recommendations - thanks for that, I'm gonna check it out!
Hey, we'e about the same height and I imagine you're as petite as me. It's just tough to find clothes and shoes that fit me whenever I'm abroad. I remember shopping at Gap Kids when I was studying in UK.
ReplyDeleteThis post cracks me up. I have had a miserable month as well, and being injured/sick hasn't helped. I hope you get back on your feet pronto!
ReplyDeleteI have been on TV a few times because I was in a few advertisements for the university I went to as an undergrad. When they went to a bowl game, I was seen nationwide! I thought I might get a movie deal... Not so much.
ooooooh, how cool!! I'm not sure how I'd handle actually shooting an ad (I can be pretty shy!)
DeleteSorry to hear that you aren't feeling well! Yuck! I am a HUGE beach girl. I am always trying to find a way to move to one. :) I was on TV a few years ago in the background of the Early Show and just recently in the background of Extra with Mario Lopez. I love free TV taping! So exciting!
ReplyDeleteJEALOUS. I'd love to be in the background of Extra. I think Mario is a cutie!
Deletehaha oh my gooodness I didn't realize you're so petite! And I love your hair in the pics from the beach. Did you have to bleach it first before dying it that color?
ReplyDeletesorry to hear you're not such a beach fan, you have a ROCKIN' shape!
ReplyDeleteSorry you are sick, get better soon!!! Loved your random facts - I have never played an instrument , have big feet size 8.5 0r 6.5 uk, and love the beach:) drink up those fluids and rest .
ReplyDeleteI'm right there with you about Harry Potter & Twilight...actually I saw the first movie of each and refused to see any of the others...not a fan! Yep I should probably start ducking with you :)!
ReplyDeleteSeeee, at least you tried and gave it a chance...I've just flat-out refused. haha!
DeleteIncredible post!
ReplyDeleteNow--I( see why you have sooo many readers!
Get well soon
And, I have been on t.v(with my very favorite actor)
And--I have played as a child (LOL I was 3) in a movie too!
So with you on Harry Potter and Twilight and anything of that sort. Unfortunately I am also right there with you with my running in December ... but it is almost 2013, so here is to new running goals in 2013!
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better too! That SUCKS.
ReplyDeleteI played clarinet, but not quite to airport extent ;-). I don't love beaches, but living where I do, I've been a LOT. Tuesdays with Morrie is an amazing book. Just thinking about it changes my perspective on everything.
My brother played the clarinet in school - that's a HARD instrument!
Deleteawwww feel better soon. Running will be there when you do. Love the random facts. I am a beach lover but I HATE sand in my house. Crunching sand under my feet in my house is like nails down a chalk board to me!
ReplyDeleteEek, I'd really find sand in the house annoying too, totally understandable!
DeleteHa! I was a flute player by default too...I wanted to play violin like Cait up there, but defaulted to flute b/c we didn't have strings in my school. (Same music I guess...and I could bring my instrument to school in my back pack. Very important to not APPEAR to be a band geek I guess)
ReplyDeleteI was a beach girl as a kid, but on Lake Ontario, not the ocean. These days I'd take the adirondaks and hiking any day over the beach. (but am contemplating Iron Girl...which would entail re-learning how to swim...and so...)
I was on local tv as I crossed the finish line in the huge 15K race we have in our area. The first year I ran I downloaded the clip and played it over and over and over! that's the extent of my tv-ness
Huge Harry Potter book fan. Twilight I read because my students were totally into it, and I like to read what they're reading. That's how I found the Hunger games too. I'm a big reader though, and will read just about anything that's around. Tuesdays with Morrie is a great one! I don't have a favorite book though, that would be like asking to pick my favorite child.
Weddings. A million of them. The best one (besides my own? LOL) was my brother's. We had a wedding weekend in NYC for him. He and his wife had a wedding banquet in china town (she is chinese american) and then an american wedding the next night on the 4th of july. It ended with watching fireworks over the brooklyn bridge. magical!
My december running has been pretty crappy too...and I'm not even sick (knock on wood) Just lazy I guess. I need some new goals.
Love this post! :) Feel better soon! (I swear by home-made ginger 'tea'. Grate some ginger in a mug, fill with water, microwave until hot, add lemon and honey. When I'm sick, or feel like I'm getting sick I'll do this 3 or 4 times a day. It's tasty and helps)
I've never been on a "real" hike before - that's going to be one of my goals to try out in the new year!
DeleteI've never read Hunger games either! I thought the movie was interesting..I thought the subject matter of killing each other(as humans) for survival was harsh! haha!
Right - I need to find a guy to marry me soon. LOL Your borther's wedding sounds magical!!! With the way it's going and my love for NYC, I think I'd like to get married there!
i LOVE reading/learning random facts!!
ReplyDeletesize 5...that is small feet! it must be a challenge to find running shoes!
i have never read hp or twilight either; i adore the beach; i did not like "tuesdays with morrie" (now i will duck!); maybe you will get to a wedding this year?? looking forward to following your 'thon training!!
feel better soon!!!
Nooooooooooooooooooo (at your dislike for the book) hahah!
DeleteYou are so tiny!
ReplyDeleteOh and you aren't missing out by not reading Twilight.
Get better soon!!! I loveee love love the beach!
ReplyDeleteLove your random facts! Don't love that you have a cold! Hope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteI played the violin for 10 years. I wasn't very good, but I have it at home and would love to start again :)
I went to a taping of the Price is Right once and we got to be in the second row. While none of us got picked to be on the show we were all on air pretty much the entire time! I'm also 5 feet and I wear either a 4.5-5 shoe! I learned a loooong time ago to only order shoes online!
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better :( Rest & fluids is the way to go ;)
ReplyDeleteOoh so adding "tuesdays with Morrie" on my to read list ^^ Haha, I have size 9 feet and I have trouble finding shoes too :( I even wear a size 10 sometimes 0.0
Excuse me? You've never read/ watched Harry Potter 0.0
Omg you have to at least read Harry Potter!!!! i love that you could find yourself on the video of the show lol i remember in high school how my teacher made us watch tuesday's with morrie, it touched me, that was the day my eyes were opened up to the world. I love post like this :)!
ReplyDeleteRe: Twilight, you're not missing anything! I couldn't even finish the series. First book was decent then it was all downhill.
ReplyDeleteBeaches are awesome, you need to get to one next summer, they're so relaxing and fun.
I hope you feel better soon, I look forward to reaing about your marathon training in the new year. I'm a runner too but won't be running another marathon for awhile!

ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better soon! I love the beach the sun, the sand, and the water it is one of my favorite places! I have never read Twilight but I have read Harry Potter though I have never seen Star Wars.
ReplyDeleteStar Wars - I liked the movies - the newer ones especially!
DeleteHey hot pants! First, feel better! Second, cutest pics ever.
ReplyDeleteYou wait, all your friends will get married at once. Ugh, the gift registries, lol.
Happy belated Christmas and early New Year:)
I am 5'2" and have a 5 1/2 foot haha. It really can be difficult to find shoes. I loved this. I really enjoy when bloggers do posts like this :)
ReplyDeleteYou looked awesome at the beach! Hope you feel better...And a VERY Happy New Year:)
ReplyDeleteI have size 5 feet too! (very narrow and barely a size 5) I HATE shoe shopping because I can never find anything lol I also loved Tuesdays with Morrie
ReplyDelete"stupid o'clock in the morning" LOL U so funny :)
ReplyDeleteI used to play the violin in jr. high school. Not sure if I could still play, but I can still read the music. That came in handy when I took piano lessons earlier this year.
The beach is just ok for me..I'm very fair skinned, and not a big fan of the heat. I used to go all the time with friends when I was younger. Now I stick to 4 wheeling on the beaches that allow ;)
I am guilty of reading Harry Potter (all 7), Twilight (all 4) and even 50 Shades of grey (all 3). I read a lot of different stuff, and I have to admit I did enjoy all of those.
I hope you feel better soon! I think a lot of us were in the same slackin' boat for December, as far as exercise is concerned :)
Happy New Year!!!
PS I most definitely recommend The Hunger Games books!
ReplyDeleteYou aren't missing anything by not watching Twilight. Save yourself! :) Thanks for the sweet words on my blog today!I really appreciate it.
