Feel free to a roll of Bounty.

Hello, Hello!

I mentioned recently that I save everything - including the corsage my Grand March partner gave me at my 2005 high-school prom.

The eye makeup , the necklace, the flowers in the hair = no, no & no.

We were great friends in high school but have since only been sporadically in touch. Since 2005, we've lived on opposite ends of Canada, or I've been in the U.K. for school. He got in touch yesterday and said he'll be flying through Toronto and will be at the airport for about 3 hours next Thursday.

Ahhhh, my working schedule is TERRIBLE, but I'm gonna try everything I can to get myself to the airport.

It's been 7 years and I would absolutely LOVE to catch up with him.

I'm feeling better from the head-up due to the cold, but feeling veeeeeeery weak physically.  Oh, fatigue. Grrr.

Do you ever ask someone to take a picture and say "can you make it nice please??" ha. Guilty. How is it possible that the photographer makes YOU look nice? I'm not sure. Worth a try though.

I went out and basically followed my mom around the mall and helped her with grocery shopping and all that fun house stuff.

What did we buy??

Bounty (the quicker picker uuuupper - don't lie, you thought of that song too!). Lots of Bounty..and some Charmin toilet paper.

Feel free to a couple of rolls. We actually went back to buy some more.
There was a big sale on and it was basically Christmas all over again for my mom.

To make us seem less crazy, I'll explain that mom likes to buy for the house, my apartment and the clinic.

Aaand, it's been snowing off and on for a couple of days.
It's pretty and I don't mind it right now - probably because it's not me doing the shovelling

Without a second thought, I have 2 fitness goals for 2013: Marathon BE CONSISTENT with working out.

Boy, I suck at consistency. I can get into a GREAT streak, or I can hit a huge slump. I'm at my best mentally when I'm working out. I'm not sure why I ever stop for an extended time in the first place.

Anyway, my marathon training will start as soon as I kick this cold - hopefully by Jan. 1st! {My right thigh/quad area feels MUCH better after this unscheduled time-out from running}

Today, I dug out my rope:

I jump-roped for about 30 minutes and did some ab/plank work.
It was NICE to sweat it out!

Lastly, to every single one of you - Have a safe, happy, loving & successful NEW YEAR!

2013 - May the best of your today's be the absolute worst of your tomorrows! <3

  1. Hi! :) Thats so funny your mom bought so much toilet paper and bounty. Sounds like my mom! I hear you on the being consistent thing. Sometimes is hard but something that has worked for me is to include workouts on my daily schedule (ie: like a doctors appointment) OR just make working out "convenient" for example-- walking 3 miles from work to the farthest train station possible. Im sure it sounds crazy but building in a workout in to your day sometimes works best. Happy holidays!!

    1. There's a Toronto one in May, but I thiiink I'd be putting too much pressure on myself to get into marathon shape by then. But, hopefully come October time for a Niagara falls one!

    1. The Goodlife marathon around May would be great to do, but I'm not sure I'll be ready by then and I don't want to put tooo much pressure on myself for it! If not May, then around October!

  18. Hey, thanks for the comment on my blog. Those are two great goals you've got for the year! Do you know what marathon you're going to do? I did my first this year and still remember the feeling of crossing the finish line. I have trouble with consistency as well so that's part of my goal for the year as well. Getting ready to type my last blog of the year now!!

  30. I hope you do get to run into your old friend! I love catching up, even if it's been years. And I don't know if a photographer can make subjects look good, but they can certainly make 'em look bad (just ask my mom who loves to take pictures from below face-level. Nothing like a from-below angle to make you look awful, haha)
